Dr. Debasis Das ist ein hochqualifizierter Kardiochirurg mit über 15 Jahren Erfahrung und mehr als 4.000 durchgeführten adulten und pädiatrischen Herzoperationen. Er absolvierte sein Medizinstudium am Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in Neu-Delhi (1998) und spezialisierte sich auf Allgemeinchirurgie (MS) am selben Institut. Seine kardiochirurgische Ausbildung erhielt er am Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh (MCh in Cardiac Thoracic Vascular Surgery). Dr. Das absolvierte zwei Jahre ein Advanced Fellowship in Adult Cardiac Surgery am Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australien (2006–2008), sowie ein Jahr in Advanced Pediatric Cardiac Surgery am Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australien (2008–2009). Seit Mai 2013 leitet er das Cardiac Surgical Program am Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Howrah, wo er alle Arten von adulten und kongenitalen Herzoperationen durchführt. Zuvor war er von 2009 bis 2015 als Konsultierender Kardiochirurg am Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) tätig. Dr. Das ist aktives Mitglied in zahlreichen Fachgesellschaften, darunter die Indian Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (IACTS), die Pediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI) und die World Society of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery. Er ist auch als Gutachter für renommierte Fachzeitschriften wie die Annals of Pediatric Cardiology und das Indian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery tätig. Dr. Das ist Dozent für die National Board of Examinations in Neu-Delhi und engagiert sich aktiv im DNB Cardiac Surgery Teaching Program.
