Prim. EM. Dr. Pedram Afschar begann seine Karriere an der Universitätsklinik für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe in Graz, wo er sein Studium und seine Facharztausbildung absolvierte. Nach zehn Jahren an der UFK Graz übernahm er die Leitung der gynäkologischen Abteilung im Sanatorium Hansa Graz. Anschließend war er als Oberarzt an der Abteilung für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe im LKH Wolfsberg tätig. Von 2014 bis 2021 arbeitete er als Ausbildungsoberarzt am LKH Hartberg, wo er das Risikomanagement der Abteilung sowie stellvertretend das Kreißsaal-Management verantwortete. Seit Januar 2021 leitet er die Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz als ärztliche Geschäftsführerin und bietet dort eine umfassende Betreuung von Patientinnen an. Dr. Afschar führt operative und konservative Eingriffe durch und behandelt Patientinnen durchgehend persönlich vor und nach Operationen. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen in der operativen Gynäkologie, der Abklärung und Behandlung gynäkologischer Infektionen, Vorsorgeuntersuchungen inklusive Brustultraschall, sowie der Geburtshilfe inklusive Mutter-Kind-Pass-Untersuchungen und Pränatalmedizin.
