Priv.-Doz. Dr. Stefan Hacker ist Facharzt für Plastische, Rekonstruktive und Ästhetische Chirurgie mit Facharztanerkennungen in Österreich, Deutschland und Europa (FEBOPRAS). Seine Facharztausbildung absolvierte er am AKH Wien, gefolgt von Spezialisierungen am Marienhospital Stuttgart (Brustchirurgie, Handchirurgie) und an einer Spezialklinik für plastische Gesichtschirurgie in Stuttgart (Nasenchirurgie, Lidchirurgie). Internationale Forschungsaufenthalte führten ihn an die Harvard Medical School und die University of Oxford. Nach seiner Habilitation 2022 wurde ihm die Lehrbefugnis als Privatdozent an der Medizinischen Universität Wien erteilt, wo er weiterhin forscht und unterrichtet.
