Prim. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Jochen Hofstätter ist Vorstand der II. Orthopädischen Abteilung am Orthopädischen Spital Speising. Die Abteilung ist führend beim künstlichen Gelenkersatz von Hüfte und Knie, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf komplexen Wechseloperationen. Er leitet auch das Michael-Ogon-Labor. Doz. Dr. Jochen Hofstätter ist ein hochspezialisierter Orthopäde mit internationaler Erfahrung. Er absolvierte seine orthopädische Facharztausbildung an der Medizinischen Universität Wien und war als Oberarzt an der Univ. Klinik für Orthopädie tätig. Seine Spezialisierung umfasst Hüft- und Kniegelenksendoprothetik sowie gelenkserhaltende Operationen. Hofstätter absolvierte ein Fellowship am Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australien und einen Forschungsaufenthalt an der Harvard Medical School in den USA, wo er sich auf Hüftkopfnekrose und Knochenheilung spezialisierte. Er leitete das Karl Chiari Forschungslabor der Univ. Klinik für Orthopädie und forscht im Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Osteologie. Seine klinische Arbeit konzentriert sich auf minimal-invasive Techniken, patientenspezifische Implantate und interdisziplinäre Therapieansätze wie Rapid Recovery. Hofstätter bietet konservative und operative Therapien für Hüft-, Knie-, Schulter-, Hand- und Wirbelsäulenprobleme, inklusive Arthroskopien, Gelenkersatz und Revisionschirurgie.
