Prim. Univ.-Doz. Dr. Rupert Koller ist ein renommierter Facharzt für Plastische, Rekonstruktive und Ästhetische Chirurgie mit langjähriger Erfahrung. Er absolvierte sein Medizinstudium an der Universität Wien mit ausgezeichneten Ergebnissen und promovierte 1989. Seine Facharztausbildung absolvierte er an der Universitätsklinik Wien sowie an der Klinik für Hand-, Plastische und Wiederherstellungschirurgie des Universitätsspitals Zürich unter renommierten Lehrmeistern wie Prof. Dr. Manfred Frey und Prof. Dr. Hanno Millesi. Dr. Koller war von 1992 bis 1993 am Replantationsdienst und von 1993 bis 1996 an der Brandverletztenstation tätig. Seit 1996 ist er Facharzt für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie. Er hat zahlreiche Studienaufenthalte in München, Bochum, Glasgow, Ghent und Amsterdam absolviert und habilitierte sich 2000 mit einer Arbeit zu experimentellen und klinischen Aspekten langer Nerventransplantate. Seit 2003 ist er Abteilungsvorstand der Abteilung für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie am Wilhelminenspital und seit 2020 zusätzlich Vorstand der Abteilung für Plastische und Wiederherstellungschirurgie an der Klinik Landstraße – Rudolfsstiftung. Dr. Koller ist Mitglied in zahlreichen Fachgesellschaften, darunter die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie, die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Handchirurgie und die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Senologie. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen in der rekonstruktiven und ästhetischen Brustchirurgie, ästhetischen und rekonstruktiven Gesichtschirurgie, Handchirurgie und Mikrochirurgie sowie der Behandlung von Hauttumoren und Verbrennungen.
