Univ.-Prof. Dr. Petra Krepler ist Fachärztin für Orthopädie und Chirurgie sowie Sportorthopädie. Sie absolvierte 1991 ihre Promotion in Wien und folgte 1992 einer Fellowship an der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie in Kanazawa, Japan. Von 1992 bis 1998 absolvierte sie ihre Facharztausbildung an der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie Wien, wo sie 1998 zum Facharzt für Orthopädie und orthopädische Chirurgie ernannt wurde. Ab 2001 leitete sie das Wirbelsäulenteam und die Skolioseambulanz der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie Wien. 2006 habilitierte sie sich und wurde Universitätsprofessorin für Orthopädie und orthopädische Chirurgie. Sie implementierte ein Qualitätsmanagementsystem nach ISO 9001 an der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie Wien. Dr. Krepler ist international aktiv in Forschung und Lehre tätig, mit zahlreichen Publikationen, Lehrtätigkeiten an der Medizinischen Universität Wien und Donauuniversität Krems, sowie Organisation von Workshops und Kongressen. Sie ist Mitglied in mehreren nationalen und internationalen Fachgesellschaften, darunter die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Orthopädie, die American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons und die European Spine Society.
