Ihre Facharztausbildung absolvierte sie am St. Anna Kinderspital, wo sie auch wissenschaftlich tätig war, insbesondere im Bereich der Hämatologie und Onkologie. Dr. Metzeltin spezialisierte sich auf Entwicklungsneurologie und arbeitete in einem entwicklungsdiagnostischen Ambulatorium der VKKJ sowie bei der Durchführung von Pflegegeldgutachten. Sie ist Mitglied in mehreren medizinischen Gesellschaften, darunter die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde und die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Ultraschall in der Medizin. Dr. Metzeltin hat zahlreiche Fortbildungen absolviert und ist Autorin wissenschaftlicher Publikationen. Als zweifache Mutter bringt sie eine persönliche Perspektive in ihre Arbeit ein und legt großen Wert auf eine enge, vertrauensvolle Zusammenarbeit mit den Familien ihrer Patient*innen.
