Univ. Doz. Dr. Michael Rauchenwald ist Facharzt für Urologie und Andrologie mit über 35-jähriger Berufserfahrung. Er absolvierte seine Ausbildung an der Universitätsklinik für Chirurgie Graz, wo er auch habilitierte und als Oberarzt tätig war. Es folgten Forschungsaufenthalte an der University of Virginia und am Johns Hopkins Hospital. Von 1996 bis 2004 leitete er die Abteilung für Urologie am Landesklinikum St. Pölten, anschließend bis 2020 die Abteilung für Urologie und Andrologie am Sozialmedizinischen Zentrum Ost – Donauspital Wien. Er ist ausgewiesener Experte für minimalinvasive und roboterassistierte Chirurgie (DaVinci-System) und führt diese Eingriffe bei Tumorerkrankungen der Prostata, Niere und Blase durch. Sein Spektrum umfasst die gesamte Urologie und Andrologie, einschließlich Vorsorgemedizin, konservative und operative Therapie von Steinleiden, Inkontinenz, erektiler Dysfunktion, Kinderurologie und Vasektomie. Er ist allgemein beeideter und gerichtlich zertifizierter Sachverständiger sowie Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) und war Präsident der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Urologie und Andrologie.
