Sie absolvierte ihr Medizinstudium an der Universität Wien und schloss ihre Facharztausbildung für Augenheilkunde und Optometrie 2012 ab. 2013 habilitierte sie sich im Fach Augenheilkunde. Von 2012 bis 2023 war sie Oberärztin in der Glaukom-Spezialambulanz an der Universitätsklinik für Augenheilkunde der Medizinischen Universität Wien am AKH Wien. Dr. Resch hat sich wissenschaftlich mit bildgebenden Verfahren in der Glaukom-Diagnostik und der Rolle der Durchblutung bei der Entstehung von Glaukom beschäftigt. Sie ist wissenschaftliche Gutachterin in renommierten Fachzeitschriften wie Graefe's Archive, Medical Science Monitor und British Journal of Ophthalmology. Zudem ist sie Mitglied in der Wiener Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, der Österreichischen und Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, der American Academy of Ophthalmology sowie der Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Sie ist mit der Betreuung von Studierenden und Lehrtätigkeiten im Fach Augenheilkunde und Optometrie betraut.
