Augenärztin Univ. Doz. Dr. Irene Ruhswurm ist Spezialistin für Augenerkrankungen, Grauer Star Operation, Kataraktchirurgie, YAG Nachstar Laserbehandlung und Lidkorrektur. Von 1993 bis 2006 war sie an der Universitätsklinik für Augenheilkunde am AKH Wien tätig, wo sie als Assistenzärztin arbeitete, die Kontaktlinsenambulanz leitete und stellvertretend die Ambulanz für Immunsupprimierte leitete. 1999 erlangte sie das Facharztdiplom für Augenheilkunde und Optometrie, 2002 habilitierte sie sich in diesem Fach. Seit 2007 führt sie die Ordination in Nussdorf, 1190 Wien. Sie ist Belegärztin an der Privatklinik Döbling, am Franziskus Spital Margareten und im Sanatorium Hera. Ihr Operationsspektrum umfasst die Graue Star Operation (Phakoemulsifikation), Nachstarbehandlung mit dem Nd:YAG Laser, Lidoperationen sowie Laserchirurgie bei Glaukom und Netzhauterkrankungen. Zudem ist sie auf Kontaktlinsenanpassung und Kinderaugenheilkunde spezialisiert.
