Dr. Ingrid Schauer wurde am 13. März 1985 in Salzburg geboren und besuchte dort die Schule, bevor sie 2003 maturierte. Für ihr Studium der Humanmedizin zog sie nach Wien, das sie 2010 nach mehreren Leistungsstipendien abschloss. Während ihrer Facharztausbildung zur Urologin und Andrologin am Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Spital/Klinik Favoriten sowie am AKH Wien/Medizinische Universität Wien veröffentlichte sie wissenschaftliche Publikationen in renommierten Fachzeitschriften und war als Vortragende auf nationalen und internationalen Kongressen aktiv. Zwischen 2018 und 2022 arbeitete sie als Fachärztin in der Klinik Favoriten, wo sie neben ihrer klinischen Tätigkeit auch akademisch lehrte. Seit 2022 ist sie Vizepräsidentin des Berufsverbandes der Österreichischen Urologen. Sie ist Mitglied in mehreren Fachgesellschaften und engagiert sich in der akademischen Lehre sowie in der Patientenaufklärung.
