Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Christian Skorpik ist Facharzt für Augenheilkunde und Optometrie mit Schwerpunkt auf Augenchirurgie. Er war bis Dezember 2018 Stellvertretender Leiter der Universitätsklinik für Augenheilkunde und Optometrie am AKH Wien und Leiter der Ambulanz für Kunstlinsenimplantate, Refraktive Chirurgie sowie der Station 16H. Dr. Skorpik war einer der Ersten in Österreich, der den Grauen Star mittels Phakoemulsifikation und Kleinschnittchirurgie operierte. Er war europaweit der erste Anwender bei der Implantation additiver Kunstlinsen zur Korrektur höherer Fehlsichtigkeit. Zudem sammelte er früh Erfahrungen in der Excimer-Laser-Chirurgie (PRK, LASIK) und Hornhaut-Transplantationschirurgie. Seit 2012 setzt er erfolgreich die DMEK-Technik ein. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Versorgung von Traumafällen mit Rekonstruktionen, Hornhauttransplantationen und Speziallinsenimplantationen. Dr. Skorpik bietet Beratungsgespräche bei Refraktions- und Hornhautproblemen sowie Hornhautdiagnostik mit OCULUS Pentacam HR an.
