Dr. Teufel ist Mitglied der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie (ÖGU), der deutschsprachigen Gesellschaft für Arthroskopie und Gelenkchirurgie (AGA) sowie der European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). Zudem ist er ärztlicher Betreuer der Fußballvereine SKU Amstetten und SC Weißenkirchen.
