Dr. Christian Türk wurde 1951 in Wien geboren und promovierte 1975 an der Universität Wien zum Dr. med. Seit 1975 arbeitet er als Arzt an der Krankenanstalt Rudolfstiftung, wo er ab 1986 das Steinzentrum aufbaute und als verantwortlicher Oberarzt leitete. Seit 1986 betreibt er zusätzlich eine eigene Ordination. Seit 1995 bietet er in der Ordination ESWL-Therapie (Nierensteinzertrümmerung) an. Seit 2016 ist er auch Arzt in der Urologischen Abteilung des Krankenhauses der Barmherzigen Schwestern Wien, wo er seit 2018 ebenfalls ESWL-Therapie durchführt. Dr. Türk ist Mitglied in mehreren wissenschaftlichen Vereinigungen, darunter die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Urologie (ÖGU), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie (DGU), American Urology Association und European Association of Urology. Er war Mitglied des Arbeitskreises Harnsteine der DGU, Vorsitzender des Arbeitskreises Urolithiasis der ÖGU (bis 2018) und seit 2010 Vorsitzender der Leitliniengruppe für Urolithiasis der EAU.
