Dr. Thomas Wagner studierte Humanmedizin an der Universität Wien. Von 1994 bis 2015 war er Oberarzt für Orthopädie und orthopädische Chirurgie am LK Wiener Neustadt. Er absolvierte die Ausbildung zum Additivfacharzt Sportorthopädie und führte von 1997 bis 2015 eine Wahlarztordination in Lanzenkirchen. Er besitzt Diplome für Manuelle Medizin, Sportmedizin und der Gesellschaft für Ultraschallmedizin (DEGUM) sowie eine Ausbildung zum Strahlenschutzbeauftragten. Er ist Mitglied der Deutschsprachigen Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Arthroskopie (AGA), der European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT), der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Orthopädische Chirurgie (ÖGO) und der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Medizinrecht.
