Felix Wantke ist Facharzt für Pneumologie und Arzt für Allgemeinmedizin. Er studierte Medizin an der Universität Wien und ist seit 1991 wissenschaftlich im Floridsdorfer Allergiezentrum tätig. Er ist Mitglied mehrerer Fachgesellschaften (ÖGAI, ÖGP, AAAAI, ERS) und war Vorstandsmitglied der ÖGAI sowie Leiter des Arbeitskreises für Allergologie der ÖGP. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Allergologie und Pneumologie.
