Dr. Birgit Weigl-Vlastos, geboren 1960 in Graz, studierte Medizin in Wien von 1979 bis 1986. Nach dem Turnus mit Ausbildung zur Allgemeinmedizinerin (1986–1990) war sie Ausbildungsassistentin im St. Anna Kinderspital (1991–1998) und Fachärztin für Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde seit 1998. Sie absolvierte eine Entwicklungsneurologische Spezialausbildung (1997–1998) und wurde 2001 Fachärztin für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie mit Schwerpunkt Kinderneurologie. Seit 2001 leitet sie das EEG-Labor im St. Anna Kinderspital und ist seit 2003 mit Ausbildungsberechtigung für EEG. Von 2001 bis 2015 war sie Leitende Oberärztin der Neurologischen Ambulanz und Epilepsieambulanz des St. Anna Kinderspitals. Seit 2015 betreibt sie eine eigene Ordination für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie. Sie verfügt über Spezialdiplome in Epileptologie (seit 2004, upgrading 2022), EEG-Zertifikate (seit 2001) sowie ein Notarztdiplom (seit 2007).
