OA Dr. Gabriel Weiss ist Doppelfacharzt für Herz- und Gefäßchirurgie und seit 2022 1. Oberarzt der Abteilung für Herz- und Gefäßchirurgie an der Klinik Floridsdorf. Zuvor war er von 2019 bis 2022 Oberarzt für Gefäßchirurgie an der Klinik Ottakring mit Schwerpunkt endovaskuläre Gefäßmedizin. Er ist seit 2011 Facharzt für Herzchirurgie und seit 2014 Facharzt für Gefäßchirurgie. Seine Facharztausbildung absolvierte er von 2005 bis 2011 an der Klinik Hietzing und am Herzzentrum Leipzig. Dr. Weiss promovierte 2001 an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Sein chirurgischer Schwerpunkt liegt in der modernen Herz- und Aortenchirurgie mit Fokus auf minimal-invasive Verfahren bei Herzklappen- und Bypass-Operationen. In der Gefäßchirurgie bietet er offene Verfahren an; endovaskuläre Eingriffe führt er gemeinsam mit Partnern aus der interventionellen Radiologie durch. Zusätzlich bietet er auf Wunsch bestimmte Eingriffe wie Herzschrittmacher-Implantationen, kleinere Gefäßoperationen und Krampfaderbehandlungen in Wiener Privatspitälern an. Er ist Autor und Co-Autor zahlreicher Fachartikel, Reviewer für europäische Fachjournale und Lehrbeauftragter an der Sigmund Freud Privatuniversität Wien sowie der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Dr. Weiss ist Mitglied der Karl Landsteiner Gesellschaft, der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Herz- und Thoraxchirurgie (ÖGHTG), des Berufsverbandes Österreichischer Chirurgen (BÖC) und der European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS).
